More Physics, Less Tricks: Bringing Water and Fire to Life on Screen

Join us for a guest talk with Alexey Stomakhin, Principal Research Engineer at Wētā FX and VES award-winning simulation researcher.

Stomakhin led Wētā FX's Pahi water and Kora fire simulation systems for Avatar: The Way of Water and Avatar: Fire and Ash. During his time at Disney Animation Studios, his work helped bring water to Moana and snow to Frozen.
