PANDA (Programming and Algorithms) support students who want to improve their programming skills and algorithmic thinking. We do so by tackling LeetCode questions to introduce data structures and topics taught in ICS 211 (do note that with a new Professor teaching ICS 111 and 211, we can not promise that our schedule will match with the class).
Coding experience is not required.
Students are mixed into small groups led by one of our officers. Students will brainstorm and discuss the problem, propose solutions, then code the solution by hand. We want to emphasize the communication between groupmates, coding of their algorithm, and debugging through tracing written code, Coding on the spot is stressful, but everyone makes mistakes and your groupmates are there to support you.
